Expertise In Action: Dr. Chan Completes Advanced Dental Implant Mini-Residency Program
Earlier this month, we shared that Dr. Hudec completed a continuing education course in aesthetic dentistry. But he is not the only one of our dentists who added mastery dental coursework into their schedules in 2021!
This past fall, Dr. Chan and her assistant Katie traveled to Memphis, TN and Birmingham, AL where Dr. Chan attended the Alabama Implant Education Center and completed the Advanced Dental Implant Mini-Residency Program. She spent two months learning about advanced surgical procedures, including dental implants.
Dental implants are used for patients who need replacement teeth, usually due to tooth decay, periodontal disease, or injury.
Dr. Chan enjoyed the opportunity to further her knowledge and practical application during the residency program, and is passionate about serving Mayfield Smiles patients with her specialized expertise in this subject matter. She is an elite member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, which is the world’s largest dental implant organization.
